This sterling vermeil pin and pendant features the Chain of States emblem, originally designed by Benjamin Franklin in 1776 for Continental currency. Each loop represents one of the 13 Original Colonies, symbolizing their unified strength during the American Revolution. Inspired by artifacts in the Museum of the American Revolution's collection — including period currency, ceramics, and Washington inaugural buttons — this dual-purpose piece measures 1.2" in diameter and can be worn as a pin or a pendant.
