Inspired by the lanterns hung in Boston's Old North Church on April 18, 1775, these earrings reference the famous signal that warned colonial riders the British troops were on the move. The phrase "one if by land, two if by sea" became an enduring symbol of the American Revolution. Made from acrylic, wool broadcloth, and walnut veneer, these lightweight earrings are modeled after the original lanterns that still exist today. The ear wires are crafted from niobium, a highly hypoallergenic material.
